Information for Students
Mailbox And Combination
You will be assigned a mailbox that you will keep for the four years you are at Hamilton. Your mailbox combination can be found using this link or on your portal under the Mail Center tab. We also have QR codes posted at the Mail Center that will send you to your mailbox combination.
All of your letters and small packages will be placed in your mailbox. If you are waiting for a package that may be small enough to fit into your mailbox and haven’t received an email from the Mail Center, please stop in and check your mailbox for it.
Opening your mailbox
All mailboxes have a numbered combination which go Left-Right-Left to open
- Turn the dial a couple of times around to the left to clear it out
- Turn to the Left stopping on the first number of your combination
- Turn to the Right going past the second number once and then stopping on it the second time you come to it
- Go back to the Left stopping on the third number
- Pull outward on the dial while turning back to the right to open
Package Pickup and Policies
When expecting a package that won’t fit into your mailbox, please wait for an email from the Mail Center before coming to pick it up. If you receive an email from a delivery service, your package may not have been processed by the Mail Center yet and won’t be ready for pickup. You will receive a separate email for each package that needs to be picked up at the package window.
Please have your student ID ready when picking up a package and let us know your mailbox number and how many email notices you have received from the Mail Center.
If you have received heavy packages, the Mail Center has carts that can be signed out to help you move your packages to your room. You will be responsible for returning and checking the carts back in the Mail Center when you are done.
Please come to pick up your packages as soon as you can due to space constraints in the Mail Center.
Students with packages that haven't been picked up within two weeks of arriving at the Mail Center will receive a reminder email. If the package is still not picked up, the package will be returned to the sender.
