A new state-of-the-art facility equipped with best-in-class technology and resources will soon serve as the launchpad for the College’s multi-faceted digital fluency initiative, Digital Hamilton, and transform the academic experience on College Hill.

After evaluating nearly 130,000 applications and welcoming more than 9,500 deserving students into the Hamilton community, Vice President for Enrollment Management Monica Inzer will retire on June 30 after 20 years of leading Hamilton's student recruitment, admission, and financial aid programs.

Hamilton’s Alumni Council has elected four alumni trustees to serve on the Board of Trustees for four-year terms beginning July 1. They are Josie Collier ’97, P’14, Stuart Ingis ’93, Elizabeth Fox Keogh ’94, P’26, and Gillian Zucker ’90. In addition, Adriana Payne ’92 was elected to a two-year term as president of the Alumni Association.

In “Parting Thoughts from a Retiring President,” President David Wippman answered a range of questions as he reflected on his eight-year tenure at the College. Inside Higher Ed Senior Editor Susan Greenberg interviewed Wippman via Zoom, and her June 10 article included excerpts from that conversation.

Hamilton alumni, students, and colleagues send well-wishes and thanks to five members of the faculty who entered the world of retirement at the conclusion of the 2023-24 academic year. We asked them to reflect on their time on College Hill and what’s next.

Hamilton College has been awarded a five-year $3,159,044 grant from the New York State Department of Education to support its Arthur O. Eve Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP). It is the largest HEOP grant the College has ever received.

On-again, off-again rain showers couldn’t put a damper on the bright spirits, as Hamilton alumni gathered for a memorable Reunion Weekend, June 6–9. More than 1,000 alumni, family, and friends returned to the Hill for reminiscing, traditions, and events galore.

An enhanced village green, a renovated community arts facility, additional local housing options, and year-round Clinton Cider Mill donut availability are among several improvements and additions planned for the Village of Clinton and Town of Kirkland thanks to a recent $10 million Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI) grant from New York State.

National and regional news organizations regularly interview Hamilton faculty, staff, alumni, and students for their expertise and perspectives on current events, and to feature programs and activities on campus. May’s news topics included varied subjects from twin co-valedictorians to communism to the consumer price index.

As David Wippman prepares to retire and leave his office in Buttrick Hall this June, he sat down once again with Debraggio to reflect on his time at the College.
