Social Innovation
Our social innovation initiatives introduce students to the ideation and creative problem-solving processes, and they nurture creative solutions to social problems with financial and mentoring support.

Throughout history, art has repeatedly pushed for change by unsettling conventional perspectives on social issues. This summer, a team of Hamilton students hopes to accomplish something similar with their Levitt Center research project by portraying the lived experience of disability through theatre.

Rob Knight, associate professor of art, traveled with Alya MacDonald ’25 and Hugh Williams ’26 and conducted audio and video interviews for the documentary “Strangers in a Strange Land.”

Students Travel to Ireland for Program on Human Rights, Civil Rights, and Conflict Resolution
Associate Professor of Philosophy Justin Clark and Assistant Professor of Government Ashley Gorham traveled with 15 students to Bundoran, Ireland, for an interdisciplinary program taught through the lens of Irish history and culture.
