Language Center
The Center provides this support by cultivating a peer education ecosystem comprised of Teaching Fellows in Chinese, Japanese, French, and Spanish, Teaching Assistants in German, Italian, Russian, French, Spanish, Arabic, and tutors in all languages taught at Hamilton, as well as in Korean, offered through the Connected Community Language Program.
Beyond peer education services, the Language Center collaborates with campus offices to communicate how language study teaches students the interpersonal and communicative skills they need for future careers. It works with the Office of Global Learning to engage students in reflecting on language – experiences, with the Multilingual Writing Specialist and the Office of International Student services to celebrate multilingualism across campus, and with Amy James in the COOP office to create opportunities for multilingual community service.
