Kirner-Johnson Building

The Kirner-Johnson Building — also known as KJ — houses the offices for faculty in the social sciences. It’s home to Hamilton’s highly regarded writing and oral communication centers, as well as the Arthur Levitt Public Affairs Center.

The building features a comfortable atrium popular with students, team rooms for working on group projects, and five tiered case-method classrooms with the latest technology to support teaching and learning.

This summer, Levitt Center student researchers Luke Hanson ’26, Delaney Patterson ’26, Samuel Low ’28, and Ton Somnug ’27 joined forces with Griffiss Institute CEO and Hamilton alumna Heather Hage ’02 to investigate the holistic impact of federal spending on the local economy.
