Tools & Resources

Self-Service

Self-Service provides students and faculty with access to their academic record and the tools necessary for registration. Almost every feature of WebAdvisor is available in Self-Service. Students can access their class schedule, grades, courses for registration and more. Faculty can view their class rosters, enter grades, and view advisee information.

Course Registration and Schedule Changes

Returning students can register or make schedule changes beginning on the first day of classes. An Add/Drop form will be required and the instructor and advisor must sign all forms for students in the Classes of 2026, 2027, and 2028. Students in the Class of 2025 do not need an advisor signature on Add/Drop forms.

Transfer Credit

Transfer credit may be awarded for applicable coursework prior to or after enrolling at Hamilton. Attention to policies governing transfer of credit is important in order to avoid any problems with credit being accepted. Hamilton awards credit for coursework that meets the definition of Liberal Arts and that is completed with a letter grade of C or better, or for exams, has the minimum score established by the faculty.

FERPA

Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (commonly referred to as “FERPA”) is designed to protect the confidentiality of the records that educational institutions maintain on their students and to give students access to their records to assure the accuracy of the content. The act affords students certain rights with respect to their education records and places requirements on how institutions and employees manage those records. All employees at Hamilton are required to be aware of and abide by FERPA.
