I write to share the sad news that Life Trustee Howard Schneider ’60, P’85,’87,’89, GP’21, a member of the Board of Trustees since 1988, died Monday, Feb. 16, one week shy of his 88th birthday.

I am writing to share that Life Trustee Donald R. Osborne P’86, GP’16, whose service as a trustee on College Hill dates to the 1970s when he was a member of the board for Kirkland College, has died.

With profound sadness and a deep sense of grief and sorrow, I am writing to inform you that a member of the Class of 2025 died tragically earlier this afternoon.

William H. Luers ’51, GP’14, one this nation’s most distinguished foreign service officers and the former president of the Metropolitan Museum of art, died on Saturday at the age of 95.

As you and your families gather to celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, and the start of a new year, I ask that you remember the Burke family as they mourn the death of Gilman Burke, a member of the Hamilton Class of 1954 and a former trustee. He died peacefully Christmas night at the age of 92.

I write with the terribly sad news that one of Hamilton’s most treasured and respected employees died overnight.
