The R&ID team is committed to supporting faculty members with their ongoing scholarship. Assistance can vary widely based upon individual needs, but might include help with locating resources, managing research, navigating copyright, or exploring open-access publishing options.

Links to more than 200 databases licensed by Hamilton. To explore databases grouped by subject, view our library guides.
- Journals
The vast majority of our journal holdings may be searched using the library's catalog. Consult a librarian for assistance if you are having difficulty finding a journal title for the year(s) that interest you.
- Books
To limit your search of our library catalog to books, select "Books" under the "Resource Type" filter in the right-hand column. You can also limit your results to books that are shelved in the library, but keep in mind that we now have more electronic than print titles.
The Hamilton College library licenses more than 200 databases, many of which allow individuals to create email alerts when new items matching their search criteria have been made available. Below are links to instructions for setting up alerts in some of the library's most used databases.

RefWorks is a research and citation management service you can use to create bibliographies, format footnotes, and organize information that you import from the library's databases and other online sources.
