46 Peaks
The 46 Peaks are the 46 tallest peaks in New York State and are all over 4,000 ft (or close to it). They are located in the High Peaks region of the Adirondack Park. The Hamilton Outing Club has a tradition of trying to collectively climb all of the 46 peaks in one weekend.
- 2019: 5 October - 6 October. Hiked 36 Peaks!
- 2018: 29 September - 1 October. Hiked 38 Peaks!
- 2017: 29 September - 1 October. Hiked 36 Peaks!
- 2016: 23-25 September. Hiked 42 Peaks!
- 2015: 24-26 September. All 46!!! 140 people got out this weekend and helped accomplish this goal!
- 2014: 26-28 September. WE GOT ALL 46!!!
- 2013: 20-22 September.
- 2012: 29-30 September. We sent out 75 overnight hikers, nearly as many day hikers and got 40 peaks.
- 2011: 21-22 October. Snow on many summits. 28 peaks
- 2010: 9-10 October. Over 100 participants climbed 27 peaks. A wet year.
- 2009: October 10-11. 35 peaks climbed. Snow on the high tops.
- 2008: 14 trips went out, which included 89 people and 2 dogs. The trip with the most mileage conquered 35 miles! The trip with the most peaks bagged 10! 43 peaks climbed, our best ever. If only someone had driven up Whiteface we could have had 44!
- 2007: 17 trips went out with 74 participants and climbed a grand total of 28 peaks.
