Assistant Professor of Theatre Emily K. Harrison’s scholarly review of the 2025 World Premiere of Jordan Tannahill’s play Prince Faggot was published in the most recent edition of Theatre Journal (Volume 78, Number 20: June 2026).

The play, a New York Times critic’s pick which is described as a “meta-theatrical tragicomedy,” imagines a future in which Prince George of Cambridge, heir to the British Throne, is an out gay man. The production, directed by Shayok Misha Chowdhury, was co-produced by Playwrights Horizons and the Soho Rep in New York and later transferred to Studio Seaview in New York.
