Assistant Professor of Theatre Emily K. Harrison recently presented "The Making of Things We Will Miss" as part of a panel titled "Practice What You Teach: The Real Hybrid-Lives of the Teacher/Scholar/Artist" at the 2025 Association for Theatre in Higher Education conference.
The presentation, which took the form of a video essay, explored the 2+ year development and professional production of a new devised work of theatre, Things We Will Miss. The piece, a personal meditation on the climate crisis, premiered at the 2024 Edinburgh Festival Fringe and included collaborations with other theatre professionals, including Assistant Professor of Instruction in Theatre Jess Buttery, as well as five Hamilton students/alumni.
