Event Description

8th Annual Wreaths Across America Program, honoring our veterans. Wreaths Across America was started by Morrill Worcester in 1992 (Maine) when he had a surplus of wreaths from his business. After approvals, he donated and transported wreaths to Arlington National Cemetery. This continued yearly. In 2005, a photo of stones adorned with wreaths covered in snow went viral. Many groups requested wreaths to place on veteran stones in their communities. In 2007, Worcester family along with others formed a 501C3 to continue and expand this effort. Today, over 2.8 million veterans' wreaths are placed throughout the United States, accomplished with the help of over 2 million volunteers. For more information visit Wreaths Across America.
