The Erinch Ozada Scholarship

The Erinch Ozada Scholarship was established by Erinch R. Ozada, Class of 1982, to provide scholarship support to students demonstrating financial need.

Born in what is today Turkish Northern Cyprus, Erinch Ozada spent his senior year of high school in Alexandria, Va., living with Jane and Connie Ring ’53, P’87. Upon completion of high school in 1978, political tensions in Cyprus had escalated, and Connie influenced Erinch to attend Hamilton College.

Erinch was the beneficiary of a scholarship that allowed him to be a Hamilton student. While on the Hill, he majored in economics and political science, was a member of the Emerson Literary Society, and graduated magna cum laude. Following graduation, Erinch attended Columbia University where he received an M.B.A. He went on to work at Goldman Sachs, rising to become vice president of its Private Wealth Management Division. In 1996, Erinch started Archery Capital, of which he was the Chairman and CEO for more than a dozen years.

Recognizing the importance of education and its impact on fostering inter-cultural understanding, Erinch has been supportive of community building efforts and education at all levels. He is vice-chairman of the Turkish Philanthropic Fund which was organized to support charities in Turkey. He has also served on the Board of Directors of the American Field Service – USA, an international youth exchange organization.
