Dear Hamilton Community:
Tuesday, Nov. 5, is Election Day! Please look for Alexander Hamilton (aka Stepper in historic attire) on campus throughout the day and on the voter shuttle encouraging conversation and voter participation.
This week, take advantage of opportunities to gather, reflect, eat, decompress, find solace, and/or joy. Please find a list of events and details at Crossroads Events. Here are a few new events and highlights:
Tuesday, Nov. 5: Election Day
- 8 a.m.: Silent Walk. Meet at the Chapel and then Join President Tepper to walk together in silence, contemplation, reflection, and community.
- HamVotes will run a shuttle leaving KJ Circle on Tuesday at the following times:
- 5 p.m., 5:30 p.m., 6 p.m., 6:30 p.m., 7 p.m., 7:30 p.m., and 8 p.m.; The shuttle will return to KJ Circle and be out of service by 8:30 p.m.
- For those registered to vote in Clinton, the local polling site is: Town of Kirkland Municipal Building, 3699 Route 12B, Clinton
Wednesday, Nov. 6: Post-election Events
- 9-11 a.m.: Coffee Shop Talks in Skenandoa 1st floor lounge. Enjoy hot and iced coffee and conversation with Community Living staff.
- 11 a.m.-1 p.m.: Crafting in the Dunham 1st floor lounge. Get creative with watercolors and jewelry while enjoying cookies and cocoa.
- 11 a.m.-2 p.m.: Cookies and Hot Chocolate available in the DMC.
- 2-4 p.m.: KJ Atrium area. Write a letter to your future self or enjoy rock painting. Light snacks provided by Community Living.
- Students are encouraged to invite staff or faculty to join them for a meal and conversation in the dining halls for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. (Staff and Faculty just need to sign in at the dining hall entrance).
Friday, Nov. 8:
8 a.m.: Silent Walk. Meet at the Chapel and then Join President Tepper to walk together in silence, contemplation, reflection, and community.
