HAVOC
HAVOC offers numerous direct community service opportunities in various fields such as education, animal care, rehabilitation centers, etc. We also undertake different fund-raising initiatives like bake sales and holiday giving trees to support a wide range of causes and charity organizations. HAVOC has numerous community service opportunities to get involved and volunteer and can fit anyone's schedule.
Some of the biannual events organized by HAVOC include Make A Difference Day (Fall) and MLK Jr. Day of Service (Spring) where over 200 Hamilton students dedicate their Saturday afternoon to volunteer at several HAVOC sites; Dodgeball (Fall) and Kickball (Spring) tournaments where teams compete to raise money for their chosen charity; and Paws to Relax that brings pets to campus during finals week to help students destress while simultaneously helping support a local animal shelter.
The organization consists of the General Board (G-Board) and the Executive Board (E-Board). The G-Board is led by 3 chairs (Volunteering, Outreach, and Charity), meets regularly, and is open to everyone. The E-board performs the administrative functions and ensures the smooth running of the organization. The E-Board members include 2 Co-Directors, Events Managers, Project Managers, Publicity Coordinator, Treasurer/Secretary, Volunteer Chair, G-Board Chairs, and Senior Advisors.
