How did we get to this point, and how can the political climate be improved?
Two Hamilton alumni — both highly regarded Washington insiders — will offer perspectives for bridging the deep divide facing the United States during a live Q&A that can be viewed on the College Facebook page. The discussion will take place at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2.
Mike Dubke ’92, P’19 is a veteran communications operative and former assistant in the Trump White House. Marc Elias ’90 is a partner with Perkins Coie who served as general counsel for Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign and for other Democratic candidates.
The discussion, which runs until 11:15 a.m., will be moderated by journalist and independent communications consultant Jackie Judd P'14, who will take some questions from the online audience or questions submitted in advance.
The event is part of the College's 1812 Leadership Circle Weekend and is modeled after the Common Ground program that took place in Clinton on Oct. 18.
