Golfer Aubrey Lee ’28 becomes second Hamilton woman to compete at nationals
Aubrey Lee ’28 competed in the 2026 NCAA Division III Women’s Golf Championship at Desert Willow Golf Resort in Palm Desert, Calif. She became the second Hamilton women’s golfer to play in the NCAA championship; Peyton Sichol ’26 qualified in 2023.
On the second day of the tournament, Lee carded a 4-over-par 76 and was tied for 44th place out of 176 golfers through 36 holes. Despite the excellent performance, she missed the cut to move on to the third and fourth rounds by three shots.
Lee was also selected for the NESCAC Women’s Golf All-Conference Team for the second straight year. She led the Continentals with an 18-hole stroke average of 76.58 for 12 rounds and tied for 15th place in the conference championship with a 54-hole score of 233. Lee was the individual medalist in the Hamilton Invitational in October and at the Northeast Invitational in April. Her best performance, however, was at the Golfweek Division III October Classic in Florida where she tied for 13th out of 119 golfers in a field that featured seven ranked teams. Lee’s 2-under-par 70 in the second round was her best of the 2025-26 season.
Men’s lacrosse advances to second round of NCAA championship
The men’s lacrosse team ended the season with a 9-8 record and trips to the NESCAC championship semifinals and the second round of the NCAA championship. The Continentals earned a ranking of No. 17 in the May 4 USILA Division III Top 20 Coaches Poll.
Three players were selected for the U.S. Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Men’s Division III All-America Team. Carson Kraus ’28 made the second team as a midfielder, and Riley Chai-Onn ’27 and John McKinnon ’27 were honorable mention all-Americans at defense and short-stick defensive midfield, respectively. Kraus led Hamilton with 45 goals and 56 points. Chai-Onn, who missed the last two games with an injury, still easily led Hamilton with 30 caused turnovers and scooped up 32 ground balls. McKinnon tied for second on the team with 11 caused turnovers. He also picked up 20 ground balls, scored a goal, and collected two assists.
