Now that most Hamilton College students have left campus for the summer, the bulldozers, dump trucks and front-loaders have moved in. Even in a down economy, Hamilton will invest, on average, in excess of $1 million per month for the next year in construction projects.

For the second time in as many weeks, Hamilton College is announcing notification of a million-dollar donation. The most recent gift, $1 million from an anonymous donor, will establish an endowment to provide need-based scholarships for students who qualify for financial aid.

A former political prisoner in Somalia, whose death sentence was commuted following a wave of international pressure, will speak at Hamilton College on Tuesday, April 14, at 7:30 p.m. in the Kirner-Johnson Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public.
