Event Description

This is a drop-in chance to answer your questions and share more information on the opportunity to spend the summer working closely with a faculty advisor on a project you design with an Emerson Grant. You are welcome to bring a lunch if time is tight- we get it! 

Selected research fellows receive a $525 per week stipend for up to 10 weeks and are expected to work full-time for the duration of their project. Fellows submit a research plan, an end-of-summer report, and give a final presentation during the next academic year. Students in the classes of 2027, 2028, and 2029 are eligible, and projects may be completed on campus, in your hometown, or at a location relevant to your research, with housing available on campus for those conducting work here.

To apply, start by connecting with a faculty member you’d like to work with. Complete the pre-application by January 23, 2026, then follow the instructions in the email to submit the complete application by February 8, 2026. Awards will be announced via email by the end of Spring Break, and all research must be completed by August 15, 2026.
