Yuting Chen
Visiting Assistant Professor of Chemistry
Yuting Chen received his B.S. in chemistry and computer science from UC Berkeley in 2018, and his Ph.D. in chemistry and scientific computing from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 2024. His doctoral research involved designing system-specific DFT functionals with machine learning and using Green’s Functions to evaluate interactions energies in high-spin open-shell systems. Chen will be teaching courses ranging from general chemistry to quantum mechanics to thermodynamics at Hamilton.
