Sunil Persad
Visiting Assistant Professor of Religious Studies
Sunil Persad received his Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary and his Ph.D. from Stanford University. As a scholar of late antiquity, Persad’s most recent research explores how ancient medicine and related forms of knowledge shaped early Christian practice and theology. His broader research and teaching interests include ancient technology, Christian-Muslim relations, and the digital humanities. At Hamilton, he looks forward to teaching courses on the New Testament and the social history of the ancient dead.
