Shreya Kanakiya
Visiting Assistant Professor of Geosciences
Shreya Kanakiya is a solid-earth geoscientist whose research links the dynamic geological processes occurring at high-risk active volcanoes, fault zones, and natural and man-made reservoirs to geophysical observations. Applications of Kanakiya's research include advancing geohazard assessment, geophysical monitoring of hydrothermally active areas, and carbon dioxide storage in volcanic reservoirs. She received her doctorate in geology from the University of Auckland, New Zealand.
