Sally Booth
Visiting Assistant Professor of Physics
Sally Catherine Booth earned her Ph.D. in physics from West Virginia University, where she conducted numerical modeling of ion transport in microfluidic systems. For the past decade, she has taught high school physics and mathematics at Terra Academy in Utah while also teaching undergraduate physics labs and contributing to ongoing research in electrokinetics and electrophoresis. Her peer-reviewed publications explore both fundamental physics and educational tools, including work on traveling-wave electrophoresis and magnetic spheres. A recipient of multiple teaching awards, Booth is passionate about inclusive, student-centered instruction and has led professional development in assessment and curriculum design. As a transwoman and active member of the Uintah Basin Equality Center, she brings a deep commitment to educational equity and community support.
