Rayan Ibrahim
Assistant Professor of Mathematics
Ray Ibrahim earned his B.S. in mathematics from the College of Staten Island and his M.S. in mathematics and Ph.D. in systems modeling and analysis from Virginia Commonwealth University. Before coming to Hamilton, he served as a visiting assistant professor of mathematics at Lafayette College. Ibrahim’s research explores combinatorics and graph theory, with a particular focus on infection processes and combinatorial applications for modeling RNA molecules. Dedicated to accessible education, Ibrahim emphasizes the development and use of open-source course materials. He is also enthusiastic about introducing undergraduates to research through the use of automated conjecturing software.
