Jaime Castillo-Gamboa holds a Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Southern California, and a master's in philosophy and a BA in humanities from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru. His research focuses on metaphysics and the philosophy of language, with particular interest in social metaphysics, the metaphysics of material objects, vagueness, and the semantics of proper names. Castillo-Gamboa is a founding member of Theorema, a Peruvian organization dedicated to promoting analytic philosophy in Peru and Latin America. At Hamilton, he is eager to teach courses in logic, metaphysics, and the philosophy of fiction.
