Grace Sachi Troxell
Visiting Assistant Professor of Art
Grace Sachi Troxell received a BS in studio art from Skidmore College, and an MFA in art from Cornell University. In her current work she uses clay and found objects to explore entanglements between organic and inorganic materials, form and deformity, and digestion. She has been artist in residence at Sharpe-Walentas, MacDowell, Yaddo, Sculpture Space, the Studios at MASS MoCA, Woodstock Byrdcliffe, Willapa Bay AiR, and The International Textile Art Symposium, Latvia.
Troxell has had solo exhibitions at Haw Contemporary, Neighbors, The Hartnett Gallery at The University of Rochester, Wave Hill, and The Herbert F. Johnson Museum of Art. In New York she has been in group shows at Alison Bradley Projects, Bridget Donahue, Jack Hanley, Cohen Gallery, Collar Works, String Gallery, and Five Myles Gallery.
