Erin Tripp
Assistant Professor of Mathematics
Erin Tripp received her Ph.D. and M.S. in mathematics from Syracuse University, and a B.S. in mathematics from University of California, Santa Barbara. Before joining Hamilton College, she worked as a research mathematician at the Information Directorate of the Air Force Research Laboratory. Her work focuses on optimization theory and its practical applications to signal processing and machine learning. Tripp is especially interested in leveraging inherent low-dimensional structure in data for recovery, computation, and communication.
