Catherine Chen received her B.A. in journalism and M.Phil. in politics and public administration from the University of Hong Kong, and her Ph.D. in public policy and management from The Ohio State University. Before Hamilton, she worked for two years as a postdoctoral researcher at Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich, Germany. With her interdisciplinary background in public policy, economics, and statistics, Chen investigates consumer decisions and policy processes around energy development, transition, and crisis, and engages with a wide range of methodologies including survey experiments, text analysis, and statistical modeling.
