Event Description
The Levitt Center invites you to attend a dinner Conversation on Engaged and Active Citizenship and Hamilton's Mission. Space is limited! Please Register Here.
Hamilton strives to create engaged and active citizens, but what does it mean to be an active citizen? We will explore the definition of active citizenship and how different communities think about civic engagement. How do different communities and identities think about civic engagement, and how does Hamilton College define this? What does this goal mean for students? Does it ask more of some students than others? Is this an appropriate part of the College's mission? If so, how effective is current programming in meeting that goal and how could it be more effective?
Join us for dinner catered by Pho Vietnam and a Community Conversation on what active citizenship truly means at Hamilton and how we can achieve it as a community. Sponsored by the Days-Massolo Center (DMC) and the Levitt Center. The Levitt Center will follow up with a confirmation once you have registered.
This is a Crossroads Event. Community Conversations are made possible by The Alan McCullough, Jr. Fund for Applied Philosophy and the Days-Massolo Center.
