Fulbright US Student Program Award
Support one year of post-graduate study overseas in any field. Awards are available to conduct research, to study or to act as English teaching assistants. U.S. citizenship by December of the application year is required.

Provides full funding for graduate study or for a second BA at Cambridge University for one to three years. Scholarships are available to applicants from every country of the world except the United Kingdom.

Covers one year of study in any discipline at a German university. Applications are welcome from freshmen through post docs. Open to U.S. citizens, permanent residents and Canadian citizens.

Levitt Social Innovation Fellowship
Provides funding to develop and implement a social innovation venture. The term of the fellowship is for 12 months and for projects implemented in Oneida or Herkimer Counties, N.Y.

* Gaither Junior Fellows Program
The Gaither Junior Fellows Program is a year-long paid research fellowship at the Carnegie Endowment for World Peace in Washington, DC. Open to graduating seniors and alums who have graduated from Hamilton within the previous year who are interested in careers in international affairs. Campus nomination is required.

Provides funding for up to two years of study at Oxford University. Open to U.S. citizens and citizens of other eligible countries who must apply in their home countries even as students studying in the U.S.

Rotary Scholarship Foundation Global Grants for Graduate Study
Provides funding for periods ranging from three months up to two years for post-graduate study abroad. U.S. citizenship is required.

Funding to support a two-year master's-level degree program at one of the Rotary Centers for International Studies. Seventy scholarships are offered worldwide. Not limited to US citizens.

Samuel Huntington Public Service Award
Provides two $10,000 stipends each year for graduating college seniors to pursue a public service project of their own design anywhere in the world.

Provides funding for a year of graduate study in Scotland. Open to U.S. citizens of some Scottish descent.

Funds the study of a foreign language considered vital to the country's national security for one summer and one academic year for undergraduates.

Defrays the costs of study abroad for U.S. citizen students who are receiving federal Pell Grant funding.

U.S.-Japan Bridging Foundation Scholarship
Provide funding for one semester of study in Japan. Open to U.S. citizens; all majors encouraged to apply; Japanese language facility is not required.
Science & Math

DOE Computational Science Graduate Fellowship
Supports full-time doctoral study in the U.S. in an applied science or engineering discipline with applications in high-performance computing.

National Defense Science & Engineering Graduate Fellowship
Support graduate students in fields important to national defense needs. This requirement is defined broadly and most prospective graduate students in the sciences and engineering are eligible to apply.

Provides up to $7,500 for each of the final two years of undergraduate study for current sophomores and for one year for current juniors.

UNCF-Merck Undergraduate Science Research Scholarship
Awards are intended to encourage the interest of African American undergraduate students in furthering their science education and pursuing biomedical science careers by providing tuition support and opportunities for research experience in a state-of-the-art industrial laboratory.

NSF Graduate Research Fellowship
Provides support for research based graduate study leading to doctoral degrees in the natural sciences, mathematics, computer sciences, engineering, behavioral and social sciences, and in the history or philosophy of science.

* Beinecke Memorial Scholarship
Supports graduate study in the arts, humanities, or social sciences. Candidates must apply in their junior year and be nominated by the College.

Supports students interested in a career in public service (broadly defined) with $30,000 for graduate or professional school, summer internships and other opportunities, and introduction to a supportive alumni network. Candidates must apply in their junior year and be nominated by the College.

The Udall Scholarship supports students who intend to pursue careers related to the environment as well as Native Americans and Alaska Natives who intend to pursue careers in health care and tribal public policy. Candidates apply as sophomores or juniors and must be nominated by the College.
International Students

Individuals interested in artistic and technical production, arts administration and community engagement. Fellowship provides a modest stipend.

Amelia Earhart Fellowships (Zonta International Foundation)
Women of any nationality with a superior academic record and a bachelor's degree in science or engineering. Fellowships carry a stipend of $6,000; approximately 35 are awarded annually.

American Association for University Women International Fellowships
Full-time study or research to women who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Both graduate and postgraduate study at accredited institutions are supported.

American Scandinavian Foundation
Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway or Sweden citizens for study or research programs (usually at the graduate level) in the United States for up to one year. Awards are made in all fields.

Asian Development Bank (ADB) - Japan Scholarship Program
The AD Program offers about 300 postgraduate scholarships a year for studies in economics, management, science and technology, and other development-related fields at participating academic institutions.

Association for Women in Science Educational Foundation
Undergraduate applicants must be in their second or third year of college and expect to major in science or a related field. Graduate students must have been admitted to candidacy for the Ph.D. in a life or physical science or engineering program.

Short-term fellowship program supporting bibliographical inquiry as well as research in the history of the book trades and in publishing history.

The Rhodes Scholarship is a fully funded, full-time, postgraduate award which enables talented young people from around the world to study at the University of Oxford. The Rhodes Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship, with the purpose of developing public-spirited leaders, and promoting international understanding and peace through an international community of Scholars. Winston Foundation for World Peace Fellowships
Supports undergraduate and graduate students with an interest in cooperative security, conflict resolution, and disarmament. Fellows design their own projects, usually involving public education, media outreach, grassroots organizing, or another active approach to issues of cooperative security, nuclear arms control, conventional arms transfers, demilitarization, democracy building, conflict resolution, and the like. Applicants are expected to work full-time with a non-profit organization. A stipend is provided for the duration of the project, which lasts from 2-4 months during the academic year or summer.
