Event Description

Executive Function Coaching is a personalized, strengths-based process designed to help individuals develop the cognitive and self-management skills needed to achieve success in school, work, and everyday life. Coaching is beneficial for college students who experience challenges related to executive functioning, including individuals with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, learning differences, or difficulties managing increasing academic or personal responsibilities.

Through one-on-one virtual coaching, Hamilton students learn practical strategies to improve organization, time management, planning, prioritization, task initiation, emotional regulation, working memory, and sustained attention. Coaches provide accountability, encouragement, and evidence-informed strategies tailored to each individual's needs, promoting confidence, resilience, and self-advocacy.

This program panel will focus on introducing the four coaches in which the Hamilton Accessibility Resources Office contracts with to support students. The discussion will include thoughts on how the coaches have experienced Hamilton students over the years and highlight some of the successes and challenges. Audience participation will be encouraged through a Q&A session. There may also be a special guest appearance by a former participant.  Light refreshments will be served.
